About Me
Delaney is a recent graduate with a master’s degree in science, health and environmental reporting from New York University Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute. She moved to NYC to work as the communications assistant for the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. She graduated from Duke University in 2019 with a major in biology, a minor in global health, and a certificate in policy journalism and media studies.
Delaney returned to Duke after studying for a semester at Duke University’s Marine Laboratory, energized to become a news reporter for The Chronicle.
She then interned at NJ Advance Media for the summer of 2018 covering stories from beats all across the newsroom. As the Advance Local Intern she presented a proposal to create a podcast network at a summit in the World Trade Center to the CEO of Advance Local and other executives.
Delaney was a staff writer for the Duke Chronicle in the health & science department covering a beat of student and mental health on campus. She started as an opinion writer covering sexual violence.
